Here's the girls with their "Waverly" hair.  Rissa kept saying Waverly instead of wavy.  And then she'd talk about our friends Waverly & Oliver.

Taryn stayed the night last weekend and it was great.  The kids loved having her here and I loved her keeping the kids entertained.  I can't believe she's growing up so fast.  She's not the one I babysit anymore; she'll make a great babysitter.

And we have some new neighbors (in our pine tree).

  • Take me out to the Ballgame!

Kale's life is full of baseball right now.  He has improved so much since last year.  Last year he would play in the dirt or pick the dandelions when in the outfield.  This year he runs after almost every ball, he's kind of a ball hog.   Unless he's at first, there he knows which balls to get and which ones to let his teammates get and throw to him.  I can tell he loves playing first and making outs.  (even though in t-ball they really don't get out)  And he's fast like his daddy.  He takes off around the bases.  At the last game he was the second to the last hitter, so with the next hit he had to run home and passed one of his own players.  Too Funny!

And we took Kale to the new Ft. Wayne Tincaps field for a game.

Here he is with Johnny, who then did O-H-I-O with us after seeing Kale's sweatshirt.

Kale loves getting his picture taken with the mascots.

  • Let's not forget the girls

In case you're wondering what the girls have been up to.  Well they had their last day of preschool with Ms. Camie on Friday.  They will miss their teacher and their friends.  Camie says she'll miss their singing.  The girls picked out some yellow flowers and painted a pot for her.  They really enjoyed their year with her.

They've also been busy being silly.  Here they are playing with bath paints in the tub.

And Karissa has developed a new Rissa-monster voice, but we had to make her stop doing it cause she was going hoarse.  Enjoy!  (She's says "sweet-pea" and growls)

Chloe & Karissa love to play outside, sing, ride their bikes (although Chloe took a tumble today) and color.

Both girls are ready for summer with swimming lessons and dance camp, turning 5 and our trip to Disney.

  • Play Ball!

Kale's t-ball season has begun.  Last Saturday was opening day, we made it through announcing the teams, but then it rained and his first game was cancelled.  But on Monday, he was able to play and did a great job.  He loves playing in the pitcher's position, there's a lot more action.  He's starting to look like a real ball player.  He has 2 games this week that I'm hoping don't get rained out.

He ran so fast when they announced him that I couldn't get a decent picture.

Doesn't he look like quite the ball player?  Check out the grass stained knees, he loves to slide at every base.

  • MPS Awareness Day

Friday, May 15 was MPS Awareness Day and we all wore purple or purple ribbons in support of our friends, Waverly and Oliver who have both been diagnosed with this disorder.  I shared with many of my classes that day.  Keith and I went on a date that night (Thanks again Kim) and I was so excited when the salesclerk at Border's asked me about my ribbon and I could make her "aware."  Check out these websites and learn more about Sweet Waverly and Oliver and MPS.
